Welcome to Raul H. Castro School

Dear Parent and Guardians,
It is with great pride and excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as the newly appointed Principal of Raul H. Castro Middle School. I feel very fortunate to be able to bring my skills as an educational leader to Castro Middle School and be a part of this learning community as a partner to support the students and the families of our school.
I moved to Arizona from New Mexico 18 years ago to start my teaching career at Cartwright Elementary School. After 13 years in the classroom, I served as an Assistant Principal at G. Frank Davidson Elementary School for five years. Throughout the years, I have learned that building relationships is important, so along with the teachers and staff, I will work hard to build strong relationships with parents and students to foster a safe and positive learning environment that encourages hard work, sees mistakes as opportunities to grow, have high expectations, and just make it cool to care.
To our parents, I invite you to join us as a partner to work together towards your child’s success. To our students, I cannot wait to meet you all, I hope that you are excited for this coming school year and ready to work, learn, and grow!
